GOTS Certification (Global Organic Textile Standard)
GOTS is a certification that considers the entire production process of children's clothing – from raw materials through to the finished product. It emphasises environmental respect (appropriate water management, raw material processing, etc.) and working conditions during production (legal employment, workplace safety, appropriate overtime limits).
It's awarded to manufacturers who meet these conditions and use a minimum of 95% ecological materials in their products (exceptions include items like socks or sportswear, where the entry threshold is 70% eco fibres in the composition).
European Safety Standards for Children's Textiles
Various European safety standards ensure that children's clothing meets strict safety requirements. Garments bearing these certifications have undergone detailed testing by specialists in child health and development. This gives you confidence that they meet all safety standards.
Safe for Children Certification
This is a standard awarded by textile institutes. Garments possessing this certification are safe for children and don't contain formaldehyde, allergenic dyes, heavy metals, or other harmful substances.
